Doctor Dyslexia Dude provides supplemental reading and spelling instruction as a fun and engaging game-based learning application. Students can play from their phones, tables, and web browsers to increase the portability and accessibility to learning. Our game gives students a chance to identify and see themselves as the main character. Each player is able to customize their own avatar creating an emotional connection with learning, making our game more realistic and culturally responsive in a time when students need to feel represented and heard.
